Job Summary:
The Investment Analyst supports the Investment Team in the following areas: 1) new business development, 2) identification, analysis and structuring of investments in MFIs, 3) portfolio management, 4) country risk assessment, and 5) investment administration.
Qualifications:
The ideal person will: 1) have a Master degree or be currently enrolled in a Masters degree program in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Economics, 2) have 1-3 years work experience involving investment analysis and/or be credit trained, 3) have a general understanding of MFIs as an economic development tool, and 4) be fluent in English and at least 1 other language.
MicroVest accepts applications for internships from highly qualified undergraduate and graduate students with an interest or professional experience in microfinance and a strong educational background in Finance, Business, Economics or International Development. Job responsibilities may range from financial analysis, portfolio management, country research, business development research, execution of investments and administration.
